Sulphur Tree
Living in Abbotsford Melbourne in the winter of 2012 my walks along the river exposed me to the beauty of the wattle trees that bloomed bright yellow flowers. This would be my inspiration for my new tree piece. I documented the wattle trees with my camera. I also found some lichen growing on bark which i took photos of with my macro lens. There were tiny little amazing worlds amongst this lichen. sketches were made in photoshop and on paper. 3D sculpting in a program called Zbrush was done. The 3D sections of the tree were then rendered and montaged with my photography in Photoshop to create the final image.
