Thailand

I have been on several journeys to Thailand.

Phosphorus Tree is from my second trip.

This is an audio visual mish mash of sounds recorded in Thailand from the street and in shops. Birds in cages, people, traffic and advertising. I am always fascinated with the chaos in South East Asia so I wanted to create something hectic and ridiculous. There are so many beautiful plants and animals that are forced to coexist with the chaos. The original 3D flower model was created on my laptop when I was in Chiang Mai and inspired by a particular flowering tree we saw next to a Buddhist temple. Using Houdini's vellum tools, I added physics to the model to make it squirm.
